In general, students can purchase books online. However, some instructors might ask for books to be sold through your bookstore. This process is handled by selling registration numbers in sealed envelopes. This method holds down shipping costs and means that you do not have to return unsold merchandise. It generally takes 3-5 days to ship the items. Expedited shipping is available, but incurs additional charges.
Payments can be delayed until after the start of classes so that you have a complete count of sales.
Sales consist of registration numbers for e-Books. These numbers do not need to be returned. Unsold copies can be shredded. However, the count of the number shredded should be reported. Typically, this count is provided with the payment. Note that unsold numbers expire and cannot be sold or used at a later date.
Once numbers have been sold to students and registered online they cannot be returned.
