5. Most organizations have a process for submitting and approving a business travel request. If possible, interview someone from a company or the university about the steps involved in creating and processing a travel request. Then describe the steps to create that process in SharePoint server.
The generic steps usually involve a form that contains the reason, the date, the location, and the costs which are usually broken into travel, hotel, and food. This form then has to be approved by the immediate supervisor, and an in-house accountant or travel manager. In some cases, the travel manager will book the flights and hotels; which means the results have to be sent back to the original person for review. The process in SharePoint is straightforward once the document is created. Then select the document in the library and choose the Workflow option. Enter the e-mail addresses of the people who have to approve it and choose the Approval type.
